Legal
Privacy Policy
Last updated October 7, 2026
Scope
This draft describes privacy practices that can be confirmed from the current Sparkr website and SparkrOS application. It is not a final, legally binding policy.
Information we collect
Depending on how you use Sparkr, we may collect:
- Account information such as name and email when you sign in or create a workspace.
- Shop and organization information needed to operate SparkrOS for a repair business.
- Demo and sales requests: name, work email, US phone number, shop name, shop size, role, and the diagnostic pain you describe.
- Vehicle and diagnostic information that technicians submit while using SparkrOS, such as VIN, DTCs, live data, test results, and case notes.
- Hardware order and shipping details when you buy Sparkr Link through the existing checkout.
- Technical information automatically collected by the application, such as IP address and request identifiers used for security and support.
Legal review: confirm the full list of vehicle, payment, and technician data processed in production, including any subprocessors.
How information is used
We use information to operate SparkrOS, respond to demo and sales requests, process hardware orders, authenticate users, and improve the diagnostic workflow. We do not currently use the public website for advertising measurement.
Sparkr provides diagnostic guidance. Professional judgment and appropriate safety procedures remain the technician’s responsibility. Vehicle data is used to support diagnosis, not to replace that judgment.
Service providers
The application may use infrastructure, payment, and shipping providers to operate checkout and the product. Those providers process information only as needed to provide their services.
Legal review: publish the approved vendor / subprocessor list. Do not treat this paragraph as a complete inventory.
Data retention
Account, diagnostic, and order records are retained as needed to operate the service and as required by applicable law. Marketing-lead submissions are stored so the Sparkr team can respond.
Legal review: add approved retention periods for accounts, diagnostic cases, leads, and order records.
Security
The application uses authenticated sessions, access controls, and standard web security headers. This page does not claim specific certifications or encryption standards.
Legal review: add only security practices that are confirmed and approved for public description.
Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, or delete personal information. This draft does not claim compliance with any specific privacy law.
Legal review: add US state privacy rights, international transfer language, and any required disclosures only after counsel approves them.
Children’s privacy
Sparkr is a professional product for repair businesses. It is not directed to children.
Changes to this policy
When this draft is replaced by an approved policy, we will update the “Last updated” date on this page.
