Legal
Terms of Service
Last updated August 31, 2026
Agreement
These draft terms describe how the current Sparkr website and SparkrOS application are intended to be used. They are a structure for legal review, not a complete customer contract.
Legal review: insert the contracting legal entity name before these terms are treated as an agreement.
Eligibility
Sparkr is intended for professional repair businesses and technicians. You must be able to form a contract and authorized to use the service on behalf of your shop.
Accounts
Some features require an account. You are responsible for the credentials issued to your users and for activity that occurs under those accounts.
Permitted and prohibited use
You may use Sparkr to support professional vehicle diagnosis and related shop operations. You may not misuse the service, attempt unauthorized access, or use it for purposes unrelated to lawful repair work.
Sparkr services
SparkrOS is an AI-native diagnostic operating system. With Sparkr Link connected to the vehicle, it can read vehicle data, recommend tests, record results, and help verify repairs. Features available to a shop depend on the plan and on what has been enabled for that workspace.
Vehicle diagnostics
Sparkr provides guided diagnostic recommendations. It does not replace the technician. You must apply professional judgment, follow appropriate safety procedures, and confirm results on the vehicle before acting. Do not treat an AI recommendation as an instruction to skip testing, ignore safety, or replace a part without proof.
Hardware / vehicle interface
Sparkr Link is a Bluetooth OBD-II vehicle interface used to read supported powertrain data. Self-serve checkout includes one device with the initial plan purchase. Additional hardware, shipping, and inventory are handled at checkout and from the workspace.
Legal review: add warranty, shipping, and hardware-replacement terms only if they are approved.
Intellectual property
Sparkr, SparkrOS, and Sparkr Link, including the software, branding, and site content, remain the property of their owner. These draft terms do not grant any license beyond using the service as offered.
User content and data
Shops and technicians may submit vehicle, diagnostic, and shop information. That information is used to operate the diagnostic workflow. Ownership and license terms for shop data are not stated here.
Legal review: add approved language for data ownership, licenses, and shop memory.
Third-party services
Checkout, payments, shipping, fonts, and infrastructure may be provided by third parties. Their terms apply to their services.
Fees
Current shop plan prices are shown on the Pricing page. Hardware prices are shown at checkout when a device is purchased. This draft does not define billing cycles, refunds, or taxes.
Legal review: add payment, renewal, refund, and tax terms.
Termination
Access may be suspended or ended if an account is misused or if the service is discontinued. Approved termination and data-export terms still need to be written.
Disclaimers
Sparkr is provided for professional use. Diagnostic guidance can be incomplete or wrong. The technician remains responsible for vehicle safety, repair decisions, and compliance with applicable law. This draft does not create a warranty.
Limitation of liability
Legal review: do not publish liability caps, warranty disclaimers beyond the diagnostic-judgment principle above, or indemnification scope until counsel drafts them.
Indemnification
Legal review: add indemnification language only if approved.
Governing law
Legal review: add jurisdiction, venue, and any dispute-resolution terms. Do not invent a governing law.
Changes
When approved terms replace this draft, the “Last updated” date on this page will change.
